Fiber Adhesive
Thermally cured two-component epoxy adhesive for optical fiber bonding and ferrule assembly. GRISH describes a solvent-free, 100%-solids formulation with 10:1 A-to-B mixing ratio by bottle packaging, approximately 10 hours working time at 25°C, and suitability for dispensing or coating fiber assemblies. GRISH states continuous use up to 200°C and brief exposure to 300–400°C; this high-temperature claim is not independently verified and must not be treated as certified HANS operating conditions. GRISH stated curing schedules: 60°C / 1 h 21 min; 80°C / 18 min; 100°C / 6 min; 120°C / 2 min; 150°C / 1 min. GRISH physical properties (manufacturer-referenced, not independently verified): A-component viscosity 2500–3000 mPa·s at 25°C; second table row lists B-component viscosity 100–200 mPa·s but source columns are misaligned, HOLD for row placement; A/B mixture ratio 10:1; working time approximately 10 h; operating temperature -60 to 200°C; component density-like values stated as 'Weight: Agent A 1.2; Agent B 1' without specified units; Shore hardness 89; glass transition temperature Tg >110°C; flexural strength 13,000 psi; compressive strength 24,000 psi; shear strength 1,800 psi; thermal conductivity 0.36 W/(m·K); 7-day mass gain at 96% humidity 0.02%; -55 to 150°C thermal cycling 10 cycles: Pass. Source impact strength '0.361/1b.-in' and expansion-coefficient line are malformed, HOLD unparsed. GRISH handling reference: pouch version described as premetered ingredients mixed by squeezing; bottle version A and B mixed 10:1 then stirred; curing indicated by amber-to-crimson color shift. Store closed in cool dry conditions; perform small-scale validation before volume production. These instructions are supplier material, not HANS-approved process guidance.
